Summer Art Classes and Camps
June, July and August 2026
June Semester
Adult and High School Multimedia Class (taught by Ellen Anne Burtner and Mary Lipnick)
Each student will work on projects using a variety of water-based media with an emphasis on drawing and sketching. Media choices include watercolor, water-based inks, acrylic, pastel, collage, colored pencil, charcoal, and printmaking.
Monday and Wednesday (10:00 – 12:00)
Six classes from June 1 – June 17. Tuition $180
Tuesday and Thursday (10:00 – 12:00)
Six classes from June 2 – June 18. Tuition $180
Student Art Camps - Third through Eighth Grade (taught by Ellen Anne Burtner and PattyThrash)
Each student will work on projects using a variety of water-based media with an emphasis on drawing and sketching. Media choices include watercolor, water-based inks, acrylic, pastel, collage, colored pencil, and charcoal.

Students may register for one or more weeks. Teens in Ninth through Twelfth Grades may register for the adult classes.
July Semester
Adult and High School Modern and Contemporary Painting Class (taught by Ellen Anne Burtner)
A week-long workshop for adults to investigate modern and contemporary artists in order to utilize their techniques to enhance their own paintings.

August Semester

All classes are held in the Music and Arts Center studio located in the MDUMC West Campus (adjacent to T.J. Maxx). While all supplies will be provided, students are encouraged to purchase their own supplies so that they can work on their art projects outside of class.
